The Shady Grove Pregnancy Center is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. We have been in existence since 1983. Our primary purpose is to help anyone experiencing an unwanted or unplanned pregnancy by providing support, care and life-affirming alternatives to abortion.
All of our services are provided free to the client. However, the cost to the Center is significant. For example, to provide a pregnancy test, counseling and education on pregnancy options, supply several educational brochures and follow-up with one young woman costs the Center approximately $200.00. Of course, the value of a life saved is — priceless.
If you choose to make a financial investment in our organization, our commitment to you is that all funds will be wisely used and prudently managed. For every dollar that we receive at least 85 cents goes directly to client programs and services.
There are a number of ways you can give:
- Cash
- Checks — Please make them payable to "Shady Grove Pregnancy Center" and mail to: 16220 South Frederick Avenue, Suite 118, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877
- Electronically — There are several electronic sites that you can donate through: Local Independent Charities of America, GuideStar, Network for Good.
- Stocks and Bonds — Please phone the Center for guidance.
- United Way and CFC Campaigns - Please check your campaign brochure for the correct number. Numbers change. We are listed as Shady Grove Pregnancy Center.

- Matching Employee Giving — Some employers offer a program of matching charitable gifts made by employees.
- Planned Giving in the form of gift annuities, trusts, bequest, retirement plans, life insurance policies, wills. Each provides valuable tax benefits and/or income for life. Please phone for guidance.
- Participate in the "Change For Life" Baby Bottle Campaign
- Attend our Fall Benefit Brunch
